I’m a cognitive and behavioural scientist working in the domains of cultural evolution, technology, and communication. My current academic home is at Brunel University London in the UK, where I’m a Lecturer with the Centre for Culture and Evolution.

Previously, I was an Assistant Professor at the School of Collective Intelligence in Morocco, and I have an ongoing affiliation with my former home, the Minds and Traditions Research Group (Group leader: Olivier Morin) at the (now retired) Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History in Jena. My PhD was completed at the Centre for Language Evolution in the University of Edinburgh, under the supervision of Simon Kirby and Kenny Smith.

I also founded a Replicated Typo (a group blog that focuses on the evolution of both language and culture).
